Fields of Light

I’ve walked these fields before. The warm light filled my soul and the crisp breeze washed my worries away just like it has today.

The sound of the wind in the boughs of the trees, It takes me back to when I’d pick flowers on my knees. Collecting bits of nature to remember today, tomorrow. 

I know I’ve smelled this grass before, pungent, fresh, wild. It makes me feel like a little child. The magic and the beauty.

Now I watch my daughter, she’s on her knees looking at the trees saying “wow” she’s living in the now. She looks at the sky noticing every shade and hue just like I used to do. 

Growing up isn’t giving up, magic doesn’t fade. It lives on and on within these fields of golden light. They bring memory to present and joy to each moment. These fields of golden light.
